Introducing Bloody Bombshell Entertainment

Hey there Darlings! What a fine day it is. The kick off for October has begun. Halloween is officially 30 days away. The Summer is over, now bring on the fall. Officially this begins my Holiday season. I’m just so excited….and you all should be too. This month I’m going to try to do things right. Do it like I’ve never done before. I have a lot of things in store for you all, but before I get into that I have some big news. No I’m not going to address the Government Shut Down. That is totally too depressing and I make it a point not to get in between a pissing match. I think we all learned our lesson with R.Kelly I’ll Thank You! ((Look at that an R.Kelly joke..heehee!)) No, my news today comes from one of our good friends. Ladies and Gentleman…Boys and Girls…Children of all ages…It is with great pleasure I present to you….of Fatality Films, Fatality Fest, The Psychotik Girls, and proud new owner of a brand spanking new BLOODY BOMBSHELL ENTERTAINMENT!!! Andrea Albin everyone! Yes, I have for you an interview with our fine lady about her new company and the direction it’s going etc. Very exciting news indeed…but don’t take my word for it…READ!!!

Malice Psychotik: This past year has been such a roller coaster for you. So many things going on…Andrea hun, how do you keep your sanity in it all?

Andrea Albin: I was insane to begin with, so keeping my sanity has never been an option.

Just teasing! The thing I’ve learned with everything that’s happened as of recent is that I have to prioritize. That’s honestly what keeps me sane. After my car accident in July, I had to take a step back and think about what was important- and in that experience I began to apply that way of thinking to everything I did, from scheduling my day to even house chores. Honestly the accident brought me down to Earth and taught me that I can’t do everything, as much as I’d like to, and it’s given me the opportunity to evaluate how I operate both personally and professionally.

Oh- and a combination of yoga and coffee. Well, as much yoga as one can do with a post-car accident body.

MP: Well you have recently announced some big news for the future of your company, You’ve went from ADA Management to Bloody Bombshell Entertainment. How are the two companies different? What influenced you to make the change?

AA: The accident really forced me to approach life differently. Prior to that moment, I had been trying to do it all- and it just wasn’t working. I was overwhelmed, unhappy, and something had to give. When I was up to the challenge, my team and I sat down and discussed what we wanted to do and where we wanted to take the company. You have to understand, ADA Management Group was my baby. I brought her to life and I’ve had her for seven years, so the decision to make such a huge change was tough. Still is. However, we weren’t doing our clients any good, production was at a standstill, and we weren’t giving the conventions the attention they needed to succeed. Thus, we chose to open a new company where we could focus on my love of production and our incredible fan conventions- two areas my team and I are slightly obsessed with. ADA Management Group was primarily a management firm, managing careers on several levels, while Bloody Bombshell Entertainment is going to focus on film and live event production. This is my new baby, and I’m looking forward to raising her. I’ve heard a lot of bullshit as far as why we closed ADA, and what we’re doing to move forward- and my only answer to the negativity is that until you’ve owned your own company, built a brand, and had to make a change for your own success- there’s no room to form an opinion. Being an entrepreneur regardless of the industry is a tough road, but one that some of us choose to take. I see Bloody Bombshell Entertainment becoming a huge force; and I’m happy to lead the charge.

MP: Fatality Films is working with Jimmyo Burril on the upcoming The Darling Clementines. What got you involved with the film? What stands out to you?

AA: I’ve been a HUGE Chainsaw Sally fan since high school, so the opportunity to work with both Jimmyo and his beautiful partner in crime April was a dream come true. The two of them approached me through word of mouth and we connected by way of career management. Now that our focus is shifting, we’re taking them with us on this journey and turning our love of Sally into a new venture, soon to be unleashed as The Darling Clementines. Jimmyo sent me the script months ago and we decided it would be something we could both collaborate on and bring to life. As a film producer, I look for scripts that challenge me as a cinema nerd, and this is a script that really turned me on. It’s sexual, brutal, dramatic- everything that one could hope for in a horror film. I see big things for the project and I’m honored to be serving as Executive Producer.

MP: Fatality Films is also connected to Scott Spiegles new feature WRATH. What about this project has you excited?

AA: One of ADA Management Group’s clients, Alex Sosin, gave us the script years ago when he jumped on board for career management. A former friend had introduced us and he brought several incredible stories to the table- WRATH being one of them. I went out on a limb last year and sent the script to Scott, who immediately fell in love. The first thing he said to me was “Andrea, I HAVE to direct this.” He started piecing together his cast, what he wanted visually, and before I knew it the three of us were sitting at a table at Cheesecake Factory in West Palm Beach charting out what our year, 2014, was going to be like with this film. It was one of those awe-inspiring moments I can’t even begin to describe- seeing a director with his screenwriter discussing the visuals of a film that I know is going to take the horror genre by storm. I’m excited because this will be Fatality Film’s debut feature and I get to work with a legend on the project. It’s also going to be amazing to see Alex’s story come to life and his dreams come true. It couldn’t have happened to a better person, honestly.

MP: Let’s talk con business…You have 4 shows planned for 2014. 2 of those shows had to be moved from this past September and October so you can heal. What can we expect for these upcoming shows? How are you going to tear the roof off and make people remember your name?

AA: There are going to be a LOT of positive changes in store for our 2014 shows. Our website is getting a facelift right now, and we’re making official date announcements soon. I want Fatality Fest to be different and after learning a lot from our show in June, I’m ready to implement my own crazy ideas into our business plan. I don’t want to give too much away, but our upcoming conventions are going to take the world by storm because there is NOTHING out there like what I’m about to do. We’ve gotten a lot of negativity from the con industry, and to put it bluntly- my team and I just don’t give a fuck. We’re there to have fun and entertain while doing it. Fatality Fest is for the FANS. For cinema. And for the better good of the horror genre and the geek con culture.

MP: Have any guests in mind?

AA: A few- but we’re still working out some details before we make any commitments. I just know that the guest list will be planned strategically and will implement the new chaos that we’re bestowing upon the world.

MP: Are there any projects going on currently that you would like to get Fatality Films or Bloody Bombshell on board for? Or maybe a Director you want to start a project with?

AA: I’m living the dream right now. I can’t say at this moment that there’s a director or producer I’d specifically want to do a project with because I am doing it with those that I admire. We have only announced two films for 2014, when in reality our production slate houses nearly 20 different projects. My team and I are excited to continue offering you guys teasers, releases and so much more over the next several months. I have no doubt that 2014 will be our year.

MP: Out-of-Hat question: What is your opinion of the Zombie craze? Some people think it’s a good thing having Zombies brought into pop culture and mainstream media…Some on the other hand think that it will only hurt the horror genre. That it will do nothing but produce tired drawn out films that will discredit the horror genre as a whole…Where do you stand?

AA: I hate zombies. I really do- there isn’t a single zombie film out there that has ever impressed me. Do I find them enjoyable? Yes. Do I think they play an important part in the horror genre? Absolutely. But I don’t like them personally. I’m involved with a zombie film right now, but it’s because I have faith in the team and the script is actually very, very good- but most people who know me know I’m about done with The Walking Dead, I respect George Romero but I can’t stand most of his films, and I’m over watching virus-infected creatures attacking people. I think that it’s cool they’ve gone ‘mainstream,’ they’re just not my thing.

MP: Out-of-Hat question: How on Earth, Heaven, and Asgard have you managed not to have your soul sucked out through your eyes…chewed up…and spat back in your butt-hole by Grand Theft Auto V?

AA: I am the master of all things that cross my Xbox. There is no video game that can claim me; for I am invincible when it comes to that… ESPECIALLY Grand Theft Auto.

MP: Sort of Out-Of-Hat question,but sort of not…Do you prefer an effect be done by CGI or do you prefer it to be done practical effects?

AA: Practical effects are the way to go; but I know that CGI has its place. I’m old school- I was raised on films that didn’t have a bunch of souped up special effects and computer bullshit. I was raised on horror films that had integrity when it came to their special effects team; not computer inserted blood. I want to see and feel the corn syrup. I want to know that the actors were really covered in guts. I think that practical effects are much more difficult to achieve, especially in terms of realism- and that’s what makes them so damn cool. I know that in my career CGI will eventually become my friend, but I’d like to see what we can do first before turning on our computers.

So we have lots of things to look forward to huh? SOOOOOO excited. I can’t wait to follow both of these projects and many more to come. I have a lot more in store for you all. So stay tuned.
